Speed Dating at the Anchor isn’t going well for everyone. On one side of the room, a hopeful young man leans forward, grinning nervously, while across the table, his date’s raised eyebrow says all it needs to. Behind them, other couples carry on with awkward chitchat, their expressions ranging from desperate to bemused. A pint glass wobbles on the edge of a table, a spaniel peeks from beneath a stool, and one lone woman seems more interested in her wine than her suitor.
