It feels warm in here, a sanctuary where peat smoke mingles with the sharp, happy scent of linseed oil, and time is measured not by the clock but by how fast colours lose their glisten. Every glance uncovers something new: a rogue pencil, a splodge of viridian on the easel leg, a forgotten cup of brew turning cold among the paint pots.
