The harbour wakes long before you’ve finished that first sip. A scarlet‑hulled fishing boat named Clanaman nudges the pier, her ropes already slick with seawater and promise. Reflections of wheelhouse whites and cherry reds shimmy across teal depths, broken only by the concentric ripples of a diving cormorant. On shore, cottages appear sugar‑iced in soft pastels, their gardens bursting with October golds where birches blaze beneath a sky freshly ironed in crisp turquoise. Cranes and lobster pots clutter the dockside in joyous disarray, proof that work here is as colourful as play. Up the wooded slope, splodges of cadmium orange and viridian whisper of autumn leaves beginning the big switch. Seagulls loop overhead like ticker‑tape, announcing each new crate of langoustine with rowdy applause. It’s buoyant, bustling choreography—boats, birds, people, even reflections all joining in—reminding you that small ports carry big hearts and no shortage of stories to take home.
